You have a new job. You need to write a report. On a topic you didn’t even know it existed. Fast. Your boss gives you 37 papers to read. You get emails. You write a friend. You realize it’s only Tuesday yet. You think about this guy. You open the internet. Check gmail. Facebook. Why didn’t he write? What’s this new picture of S.? What, it’s his birthday again? Wow. Life is going by so fast. You drag yourself away. The phone rings. You consider lunch. Your colleague asks you to look over a document. Takes you four hours. You open the web dictionary. What the hell is a zub? You need to write something. NAMAs. You look at the UNFCCC homepage. It’s awful. You have 11 open tabs on your desktop. The hot guy from the office next door says hello. You eat a yoghurt. UNFCCC again. You are asked to hold a presentation. You think about Budapest. Madrid. Marseille. Santiago de Chile. You realize it’s late. You find a typo. You want to go home. You wonder whether this is relevant. You write a paragraph on livestock. You go to country submissions. The guy comes to your mind again. You go to the toilet. You take long. You look for Macedonia. You open the window. You think about the weekend. You find Macedonia under T. The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. Your eyes hurt. The paragraph on livestock is too long. You want to eat chocolate. You can’t. You think what the fuck. You write on MRV a bit. You drag and drop. Copy and paste. How to measure adaptation? You think it’s enough for today. In a last sweep of desperate creativity you write one and a half pages on “NAMAs for financing climate-smart grassland management in Mongolia” in a row. It’s getting dark outside. You have a last look at the Macedonia document. On page forty-four, you find this:

You think this is the most stylish, retro, cutting edge, tech-organic, fucking cool perforated and scanned chapter cover page you’ve ever seen in your life.

People, life is a crazy, unbearable, beautiful hell of a process. I’m overwhelmed. I go to sleep.
